Renewable energy accounted for 21% of U.S. electric generation in 2021 but is expected to increase to 44% by 2050. Electric generation from renewable sources will mainly consist of wind and solar.

This is also evident as the demand for renewable energy shifts from wind to solar.
Walt Disney is well-known worldwide as a strong supporter of sustainability and solar energy. The company announced new plans to build two new 75-megawatt solar projects in Polk and Gilchrist counties in Florida on April 4th, 2022. The project, which will cover 1,000 acres, is expected to produce power as soon as 2023.
